简介

Jonathan Byrd and Chris Kokesh fans will not be disappointed as the duo presents their self-titled debut album. Co-writers on the songs include Anthony Da Costa, Amy Speace, Anais Mitchell, Carey West, and Luke Dick. Byrd and Kokesh met in 2007 at the Sisters Folk Festival in Oregon. Jonathan invited Chris to play with him during his set. The overwhelming popular reception of the duo encouraged them to team up and hit the road. After touring cross country, they returned to Oregon to make their first recording in a barn. However, recording was interrupted as the barn's resident birds sang along. “The Barn Birds" duo took their name, and did a live re-recording in Texas at Blue Rock Studio. The results, documented here, took less than 10 hours to record. jonathanbyrd.com chriskokesh.com 1.
