简介
Jayme Carroll was born in Vancouver, WA and raised in the northwest. His parents divorced when he was 6 years old, and his now family of four had moved to Tigard, OR. “The split definitely impacted the way I saw myself as an individual, and it was difficult watching my brother and sister attempt to cope. Families were never designed to be separated, but I thank God for my church family (JIBC) they ’ve always been there for me… It seems like I was born and raised in the church, haha.” In his freshman year of high school the family had to move to Puyallup, WA for his mother’s new job. Jayme states, “I used to be a really reserved and quiet kid”, as a result he was harassed daily by his peers. “They would taunt me to hit back, but I wouldn’t no matter how much I wanted to. I knew it wasn’t right, and even at my breaking point, no one was there to teach me how to stand up for myself…” Jayme started fighting, and began believing the lie that he was worthless, and this quickly led to depression, and frequent thoughts of suicide. “If there was a God it really seemed like He couldn’t have been farther from me, I had lost everything I held dear, including myself… I remember crying out one night, pleading to God to deliver me, and in what may seem like a flash in retrospect; God restored what was lost.” Jayme began rapping in 2007, which lead to writing his first song ‘180’ in 2010. '180' was a song for his dad, resulting in his father accepting Christ! From this point on he felt a call on his life to impact & inspire others through music. Since then it seems God has been opening door after door for Jayme. From his first performance as the opening act for 'Overcome' a local worship event. To accomplishing his self produced album, he never had to strive, but simply abide, in God's favor, grace & love. His album titled "Red" was released in December 2011. “This journey has definitely sprouted from humble beginnings, but God has been ever faithful. And even as I carry this dream and head towards the goal, I’m constantly blown away by every life God has allowed me to touch in some way…” Jayme is an emcee, who desires to invade the music industry with life! Right now he is currently working on a new project with Jaz Zelaya, & Reymond Soriano, the founders of Kold Kut Productions. Kold Kut has been producing & making music for about 10 years and running. “It’s truly a divine connection, and the timing of everything is truly amazing; it’s been an absolute privilege to be able to work with those guys, and I am so blessed to have gotten to meet them. I want to thank you guys for taking a chance with me, for seeing the potential and taking time out of your lives to sow into mine, I really can’t thank you enough.” “Killer Bee”, his latest single released in late 2012, is a new kind of sound for Jayme; yet retains his aim for music that inspires and sets people free. “Kold Kut is really drawing out the gold in me, and I really am growing in leaps & bounds; I can’t wait to see what we cook up next, stay posted fam!”
