These songs are all favorites of mine. Some I have never recorded before, some I learned from my early out-of-print albums and some were "revealed to me." Every song has a story of how I came to choose it or, in some cases, how it came to choose me! Sharing these memories with all of you is my greatest pleasure. Forty years ago, traveling with Reverend Gary Davis, struggling to learn a new chord or melody, I could never have imagined I would become a "known person" and that this adventure would lead me to perfoming in front of enthusiastic audiences around the world. I could have never dreamed that many of my heroes would end up being my pals. I do hope this album will give you a glimpse of how I feel about my music, my audience and my involvement with the Fur Peace Ranch. I am very pleased with this project and am proud to let you experience some of the joys of my world, which could not exist without you.
