简介
NMT was formed in 2004 by guitarist Shawn Peters and drummer Jeremy Westin. Early compositions drew heavily from pop-punk influences such as blink-182, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World. Their first album, Dragonfly, was self-released in late 2004. With the aid of several short-lived bassists and singers, NMT played a number of live shows in the Cumberland area with sets that included originals and several covers. Summer 2005 found NMT recording once again, this time finishing in late December with their piano-heavy concept album, The MD Addiction. Meanwhile, their live performance was steadily improving, with the newly-found Red Hot Chili Pepper influence on guitar tones and songwriting. 2006 brought the addition of drummer Scott Michalak to band, while Westin transferred to the bassist/singer position. After much equipment replacement and upgrades, NMT was able to record their third album, The Wopaho Nation, by the end of August, 2007. With The Wopaho Nation, NMT worked to create a style of music that is not unfamiliar, but different and exciting. Incorporating piano, effects, and stylistic diversity into their music, NMT has fun with their music and work hard to get the crowd to as well. NMT also hosts an annual music festival in Cumberland, WI at the end of August.
