Floating Above Reason formed in May 2011 when Jess and Nico first met up to work on some of Jess´ lyrics. Jess Jess, from London, has been writing lyrics since the age of eleven. In her late teens, during college, Jess was a member of a four piece band in London. The band would busk in many of the City´s locations and tour many of the local Universities. The band was noted for its folk soft rock sound in which Jess contributed lyrics and was one of the lead singers. When band were on the verge of signing in 1994 Jess had to leave the country due to personal circumstances. Ever since that time Jess continued to write lyrics and explore different melodies. While visiting family in Chile 2011 Jess met up with her cousin Nico. Nico Nico, from Chile in Latin America, was always into music from a very young age. He started learning the guitar at the age of four and made his own music compositions in his pre-teens. During his teenage years he was lead guitarist for a local rock band covering classic songs and composing originals. After a couple of years the band split due to creative differences. Ever since then Nico has been developing his composition and production skills by creating his own music scores.
