A Theatre Near U produces original musical theatre plays in the San Francisco Bay Area. "Star Song (The Ballad of Justin & George)" is a heartwarming duet from their most recent critically acclaimed musical theatre production. The musical explores the problem of teen suicide not only from a youth perspective, but also from a cultural and historical one. Justin Capps, a teenager trying to cope with the suicides in his community, now devotes every hour of his days searching for a “cure.” In the process, he draws others into his research, most notably the quirky yet driven dreamer, Georgianna. Poignant and often funny, the play leaves audiences with a new respect for the modern teen and the hope and confidence for a brighter future. "Star Song (The Ballad of Justin & George)" encompasses this message. The critics have said "the music is excellent" delivered with "emotion" and "passion."
