Irij is electronic one-woman folk rock. Brought to life by Meri Tadic in autumn 2006! Ever since she started out she has created and produced everything by herself and the self-titled EP from 2009 was enthusiastically received through many different genres. No false vanity but inspiration and the true love for arts and meaning in music instead. Irij's foundation was built upon traditional lyrics and a certain mindset from the southern Balkans, more precicely Croatia. Handed down lyrics and stories occur naturally within our lives through centuries and without fail in every culture. They have always been a never ending source for knowledge, amazement, eroticism, sarcasm, wisdom,brutality, love, hate, fear and joy which in her case turns into music! Irij ranges from diverse instrumental compositions combined with strong electronic beats and rock influenced songs which will get you moving. The completely autogenic new album "SAME ZGODE... koje se ne mogu dogoditi!" (english translation: "Only events... that can't possibly happen!") is holding a whole new way of bringing Irij and it's stories to the modern world! A powerful but intimate journey!
