简介
The 7th Volume of a collection of rock tunes by various artists from the 1960s to the 2010s that represent 50 years of rock & roll history and its evolving change. Some tunes were nationally charted hits while others were regional favorites. “A Political Year Dirge” by The Night Shadows has verses containing the usual somber sounding political promises followed by upbeat instrumental music similar to what was played at political rallies in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A musical parody of politicians that is truly unique. “Gonna Have A Good Time” by Scott Marks is a rocker with a 12 piece backup band reminiscent of the early years of rock & roll. It has a positive message about enjoying life after work or school. “Don’t Take It Out On Me” by Little Phil is about loving someone that doesn’t feel the same about you. This is common when one partner is on rebound from a previous relationship breakup. “The Sweetest Little Girl I Know” is a euphoric upbeat tune about all the things men overlook when head over heels about someone. Performed by Barrelhouse Bob Page with a New Orleans feel. “When I Get Home To You” by Danny Deese is a tune about the strain on a relationship when an artist must go on road. This also applies to truckers, actors and contracted workers on location. “Day Job” by internationally known bluesrocker, Sammy Blue, concerns abandoning a unpredictable music career for a regular 40 hour workweek with a guaranteed paycheck for the love of someone. “Cheating Dance” by Camille! is about retaliating against an unfaithful partner with a taste of their own medicine. The music is reminiscent of sound heard on a “Rubber Soul” tune by The Beatles. “Big Legged Woman” performed live by Butch Cooper and backup band is about his love of large women. Butch once said, “There’s no such thing as a fat woman. They’re just Super-Size to me.” “Promises (Lost In A Lie)” is performed by Liane Webb with vocal chorus harmony by Bill Sheffield. It’s about every woman’s heartbreak because of relationship lies by the one they love. “I Can’t Take It Anymore” by The Feel is a driving rocker with vocal by Delanna Brody about finally leaving someone because they are always telling lies, cheating and are totally irresponsible.
