Darryl Blood is a singer-songwriter based out of Los Angeles, CA, with heavy roots owing to his early Boston days playing in local indie bands. "Arden Eevin - Vol. 1" is his 4th official solo release, and is a collection of songs that have been on the cutting room floor since 2006, now resurrected and completed to be part of a two volume set. You might say they are an "odd and even" pairing of songs, which is half of the word play behind the album title. Many of the themes revolve around the growing challenges and rewards of raising a family, disillusionment, love, loss and death. Veering between power pop, alt country twang and dream pop, this album covers many sonic landscapes.
