greygoesblack is a Central NJ based indie/electronic band consisting of Matt ( vocals, guitar) James ( bass , keys) Steve ( drums, electronics). After releasing 2 eps( self titled, war of currents) they decided to work on a more complex and deeper sound, and began adding more electronic elements to their songs. In April 2016 they went into Coffee Haus studios with engineer Ben Feldman ( who also played piano on multiple tracks) to work on their new album. After 7 months of chipping away on Friday nights they have finally finished their 6 song album entitled " and inside there was only water" This new album showcases a more mature and darker electronic side of the band. Wish the first track on the album features a spoken word piece by NYC/NJ singer songwriter Foxanne. "Please" the first single of the album shows the band using looped piano chords and drums soaked in reverb. Between the wailing, longing vocals from Matt - and the keys highlighting each hard hitting note, while the quiet of the guitar and drums keep rhythmic balance in a song that will remind you of bands like Coldplay.. " And inside there was only water " will be released March 2017 with a limited snowglobe USB edition and a standard compact disc along with all digital formats.
