John Carty is one of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians having been awarded the Irish Television station, TG4’s Traditional Musician of the Year in 2003. He has produced a plethora of recordings on fiddle and banjo as well as in duet with Matt Molloy. Most recently he produced the traditional music arrangements for the film 'Brooklyn'. This new collaboration sees the debut of his daughter, Maggie, a fine traditional singer and banjo player. Her voice has been described as having something very old, and very young, in it. She rediscovers some old gems with a new beauty. As the pair duet together the sense of trust, honesty, unspoken understanding and pure devilment in their music will be evident.
