F.T.C Recordings are back with their latest release entitled simply T3 which is Nigel Mihell & Johnny Pinkfingers follow up to the hugely well received Badman (now signed to Sounds Like Records). After their remake of the classic Badman track, Mihell & Pinkfinger decided to work on an original track and the enigmatic T3 is the result. Dark and broody but also surprisingly bouncy, the original mix rolls through picking up pace as each of the different layers of sound builds on the previous one before dropping to a very spacious and perfectly timed breakdown. The drop only serves to offset the tension for a little while before the trademark pizza string riff returns and the track slams back in with enough force to demolish any dance floor! In a very different take on the musical themes the Dead Peasant remix takes us on an upbeat and slightly funky journey. The huge swelling bassline drives the track for much of its length until the detuned techno madness of the main riff washes over us and takes the track into a whole different world! With its crushed up and f**ked up percussion and rolling bassline, the Tyler Johnson Remix hints at where its going to go right from the off and things just get crazier from there on in. Focusing on the main riff of T3 but turning it into something really quite hypnotic and trippy, the layers of sound that Tyler builds up get pulses racing and the sense of expectation that builds in the main drop is just awesome!
