Depth Perception is a collection of poetic images set to music in a cinematic soundtrack of the mind. The painter Julie Hedrick writes poetry that is highly visual and her voice lends itself hauntingly well to the layers of sound that accompany each poem portrait. The music was composed and orchestrated by Peter Wetzler and this was their first album collaboration. Peter's ensemble, "The Repeatos" is featured in the poem "Hands". The entire recording was made in a barn in Kripplebush, New York in the Catskill Mountains. Julie's paintings can be seen at The Nohra Haime Gallery, in Manhattan and Mira Godard Gallery in Toronto and soon on her website: Juliehedrick.com.
