Unaccompanied Women is an all-female a cappella group at the University of Chicago. The oldest group on campus, the ladies of UW have serenaded the University community since 1989. The group's diverse, original arrangements include traditional barbershop classics, folk ballads, as well as mash-ups and medleys of popular favorites. The group hosts an annual winter fundraiser, Singing Valentines, featuring special arrangements of love songs for the romantic (and mischievous); two best-sellers are featured on Quarter Life Crisis.

Quarter Life Crisis, UW's first concept album, relies primarily on vocal blending to communicate the ebb and flow of student life in an eleven-week quarter system as we reach the quarter-mark of our lives. Recorded in classrooms and produced between papers, this album, released June 2012, is the culmination of many quarters' hard work by these sixteen competitively-selected undergraduates.
