简介
Are you ready for a musical journey? That’s exactly where Taborah takes you with her new EP, “A Piece of Me”. Taborah’s voice is notably recognizable in the dance music industry as she has been writing hits for many years and is no stranger to US and International radio and Billboard dance charts. With such songs as; “I Am (the rising)”, “All I Gave To You”, Ride on the Rhythm”, “My Love For You” and many other’s, she has established herself as a dance diva. But Taborah is a songwriter with a passion for all music and just like her life her music holds no barriers. Committed to her dance roots, Taborah delivers two dance tracks to this seven song EP. “You Gotta Go ‘Cause I’m Through With You”, remixed by an up and coming producer from the UK named Reflex, is a unique combination of a ballad a top an intense dance melody-not your typical dance song. Its relaxable, danceable and very hypnotic. “Just One Night”, produced by Jason Still, delivers heavy beats, funky guitar riffs, a great hook as well as Taborah’s signature power vocals. This song will prove to become a dance floor favorite. Her love of jazz, rhythm and blues find themselves in “Keep It Real”, produced by Darren Noble. The smooth rhythm, gentle horn and sultry vocals might remind you of a Sara Vaughn tune, but listen closely because the lyrics are in no way as silky as the deliverance. “I Can’t Sleep”, written and produced by Karen De Rosa is a passionate song of love. Taborah’s delivery is effortless. The music is simple and unfussy. The results a timeless piece that you’ll find yourself humming over and over again. “A Piece of Me” also includes the a cappella of “You Gotta Go ‘Cause I’m Through With You”, an extended mix and a praise song called “Give Thanks”. A short song of honor that Taborah wrote and sings with her daughter and niece. Fast, slow, dance and soul. Her style changes with her music. Her music can not be labeled to one genre. Her sound is worldly. A brief yet memorable ride “A Piece of Me” will leave you wanting more. Taborah's first USA release, "I AM (the rising") went on to become a Top 5 Billboard hit and charted for 16 weeks! The single won Taborah the "Artist of the Year" award from Heritage of Pride and has become a PRIDE anthem. It also was the 2005 tip-off song for the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) New York Liberty for both home and away games. It is an inspirational "Anthem of Life" song for many with its upbeat lyrics and phat beats provided by producer/remixer Johnny Rocks. Before her success in the US, Taborah was known as the songwriter, face and vocalist of the ever popular Euro dance group Blackwood. Blackwood received the coveted FIMI Best Dance Act Award and Taborah's Euro material was licensed and distributed in over 53 countries. Taborah is a BMI songwriter, born and raised in Long Island, NY.
