简介

I was never formally trained as a musician, it is just one of those things that took a hold of me from a very young age. I always had a passion for music. I was playing piano by ear only by the time I was eight although I had no real interest in learning or playing piano for that matter. By the time I was 15, I picked up a guitar and learnt how to play basically. I never saw myself as a vocalist when I was younger but on a strange night at a Karaoke show back in Sydney when I was twenty one, someone made me take to the stage for the very first time. Say what you want about Karaoke and I would probably agree. When Karaoke took the world by storm, it killed the live music scene but for me, it pushed me into a career that is almost twenty years young! By the middle of 1997, I was introduced to a producer who wanted to work on a project with me. We created an EP called Honky-Tonk Through The Night. The EP contained 6 tracks and was very professionally engineered and mixed. 5 of the songs on the EP were written by myself and that was the first time that I had ever written a song. Through the middle of the recording process, the producer walked out and I ended up with the cost of the whole recording. Once it was finished, I sent the EP to the usual suspects within the record companies in Australia. Many rejection letters later, I decided that I should give up. In 1998, I joined a cabaret show where I became Elvis Presley for the shows. The show was very short lived as the MC and creator of the show died after a long battle with cancer. I left Sydney and went looking for a new direction. I started a country rock duo and toured throughout South East Queensland and Northern NSW. We were becoming quite popular in rural areas and we created and ran a charity event called 'Rural Rescue' to raise much needed money for the rural fire brigades. We were asked to participate in McDonalds Happy Day to raise money for Ronald McDonald charities. It was quite successful but it was only performing covers. Every once in a while, I would pull an original out of the closet and then shut it back in there when it was all over. That journey ended in 2003! Again, I decided to give up! In 2004, I moved to Perth to get a different perspective on life. I started writing music again and before I knew it, I had written enough songs to put together an album. I started to prepare for going back to the recording studio to record a new album. I had the artwork for the album done and it was called the 'Wild Child' project. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the right musicians to take on the challenge and so guess what? Yep, I gave up! And this time, I really did give up for a long time! I stopped writing songs, stopped playing and even stopped performing until in 2010, a new concept was born. I began writing songs for a new album which has been tagged as the 'Way Too Long' project. This time, I am not worried about success or recognition and my direction has changed also. This time, I just wanna ROCK!
