From the Sunny Streets of Woodland Hills CA, a freestyle rapper ‘Akademic A’ emerged into his own. In the late 70’s, black culture had an influence on him at an early age. In his high school years, mid 80s, Akademic A heard a classmate rhyme and he knew, this is what he wanted to do. After being a bedroom rapper and isolating for over a decade, Akademic A decided to stop into a Local Rercord shop to enter the freestyle competition. From that moment on, Akademic A redefined shock value and became the most well respected underdog thrown into the freestyle pit. What Akademics opponents don’t know will always hurt them. The traditional rapper looks tired battling Akademic A, as they clearly don’t expect the unexpected.

After winning several freestyle battles, Akademic A became one of the most remembered and respected 818 legends. Akademic A’s story is so intriguing, a Documentary/Screenplay film entitled ‘Introducing Akademic A’ is in the works.
