Mark Lawrence is a singer/songwriter from St. John's, Newfoundland. Over the past 25 years he has developed his own style of melodic pop/rock with catchy guitar riffs and intimate lyrics. He started writing at an early age but it was when he discovered the guitar that things really started to happen. It wasn't long before he formed his first rock band and by the age of 16 he was getting notes from his parents to allow him to play the various night clubs in the area. Throughout the years he has played in numerous bands, mostly as the lead guitarist / lead and backing vocalist but considers himself a songwriter first and foremost. During the past couple of months he has been in the studio recording a new CD due to be released in November 2014 (see http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/markjlawrence). It was during this time he decided to also record "Merry Christmas To Ya", a song he wrote during the last the Christmas season. Inspired by the feeling of reliving Christmas again through his children's eyes, Mark even brought his young daughters and niece in the studio to help sing during the song's final chorus.
