The song appeared on the front page of Yahoo.com, The Huffington Post News and also in the Detroit Free Press. The video version has received well over one million hits in its first 12 days on “You Tube” and still climbing. By a “You Tube” poll, The Green Brothers “Back Pockets on the Floor” video is one of the fastest rising videos in “You Tube” history to date. The Green Brothers left to right, are Gerald Green aka JG Contour, Herman Green aka Brother T and Ray Green aka Sporty Ray. The Brothers are a product of the late 1950’s as “The Rivals”. The Rivals are credited for breaking the color barrier as being the first African American group in the state of Michigan to record radio commercial jingles for major corporations that never before let African Americans represent their products. The jingles were “Goebel Beer, Delco Battery and Wrigley Spearmint Gum”. The lead man for The Green Brothers, JG Contour, is also a Motown Legend. He was a former lead singer for the World Famous Group – The Contours. The Contours were responsible for the classic hit “Do You Love Me” that appeared on the “Dirty Dancing” movie score starring Patrick Swayze in the 1980’s.
