There are some concerts you’ll never forget. Four young lads under the name Missent to Denmark, who went on stage and blew the audiences minds for one hour with their filed arrangements, great melodies, fantastic lyrics and love for detail. It became obvious that the bands main goal wasn’t the big show, but to share their songs with the people and to get them as good as people. At this time Missent to Denmark already worked on new material for their new album “I am your son” (Release: 16th April 2010), at home, in their rehearsal room, in old houses deep in Bavaria. Songs were written, rearranged, recorded and questioned, tape loops were cropped on the computer, rooms were recorded and deformed, harmonies were constructed and torn apart. The result is cursorily seen Pop. Without being afraid of bulky ideas, Missent to Denmark bond with the D.I.Y. style of well-known Indie-Acts, with the dynamic of Radiohead, with the decided Weilheim electronica and the understatement of a songwriter who can depend on the quality of his songs, without unnecessary gestures. Since 2003 Missent to Denmark develop their own style, escaped the pressure of expensive studios by homerecording. After they shared their first albums and EP’s for free in the web, on CD-R’s and tapes, they released their first commercial LP “a clue, a hint, a love” distributed by MotorDigital in 2007. For their new album, the four experienced musicians went to Taison Heiß (Lali Puna) to Portmanteau-Studio for the fine-tuning of their tracks and songs. Eleven audiophile pieces reached the light of day and slipped into a digipac, inclusive booklet, distributed by the young independent label biegen & brechen (Rough Trade). Even though they’re hitting the stage for only four years, they gained the reputation of a great live band when they were support of bands like Polarkreis 18 and Jeans Team or played festivals like Manallpuram, On3-Festival (a.o. TV on the Radio, Santogold) and the Puch Open Air (a.o. Ja, Panik, Gustav).
