简介
No, Not Yet is a project of mine that I started years ago. And for years people have asked me, "are you going to start recording?" My answer was always, "Not Yet." But after so much encouragement, the time came. This is what I have spent my whole life creating-since my very first piano lesson 21 years ago, to teaching guitar, and now this: OmniScience. Each one of these songs is very much a story. The stories all have their purpose-generally to act as a therapy for me. Each story has a theme, however the theme is up to the listener. You will find yourself filling in the missing parts with your own memories. More than one person has accused my of telling their story, but I assure you there is no specific person I had in mind. It just so happens that many of these stories somehow apply to other people, and in apparently significant ways. There are stories about people struggling with addictions (you have to guess what those addictions are though). There are stories about falling in love (with girls that won't have you). There are funny stories, sad stories, happy stories, and bizarre stories. Another fairly significant theme in this album is my (our) personal distaste for Politics and Capitalism. You will not be able to tell my political affiliation, but I can absolutely guarantee that you will agree with my position in the song "Politics (Do You Believe In...)" One line that is so strong, and has stuck with me since I first wrote the song is: "What about the educated, unemployed, and stuck with debt, thinking the MISTAKE they made was being a collegiate?" It describes my major dilemma in life, where I paid for 5.5 years of college and 2 degrees only to find out that I am "overqualified" for most jobs, but not unethical enough to work for a major corporation. Venting those frustrations in a song was very therapeutic. Listening to that song really loud also helps ; ) I have spent 9 years creating this music. Only 8 months ago did I begin to grow the courage to show it to other people. SInce then it has become apparent to me that this-MUSIC-is what I have to offer to the world. I truly believe I have been given this gift so that I can try to organize and make sense of the world in a musical format. The support I have received from absolute strangers has blown me away. Additionally, a HUGE support group of people I met at "Shwayder Camp" is the major reason I had the courage to put this out to the public. (I feel compelled to thank Chris EZ here as well, for the unwavering support.) If you like my music, follow me on Soundcloud or Facebook (No, Not Yet). I am very grateful to have the opportunity to share this with you.
