CICI BELLA’s Artist BIO: MINNESOTA NICE Ce’Airra Chanel Turner (born January 27th, 1990) better known by her stage name CiCi BELLA, is a multifaceted American singer/songwriter. Born and raised on the outskirts of the Twin Cities. The “Minnesota Nice,” native first began her love of music at the age of 5, singing around the house and to family members. CiCi Bella enjoyed growing up in a culturally diverse background, because it allowed exposure too many different genres and eras of music. CiCi Bella began listening to a variety of artists ranging anywhere from Whitney Houston, and Christina Aguilera to Amadeus Mozart. The diverse musical talent quickly rubbed off on CiCi and expanded her horizon as well as vocal range. CiCi taught herself how to sing by singing along to the various artists she listened to. At the age of eight, CiCi Bella formed an all-female group with three of her classmates. After practicing and signing up to showcase the group's talent, at a local talent show, all the girls quit (due to stage freight) except CiCi. CiCi knew that the show had to go on, and performed a cover version of The Spice Girl’s song “Two Become One” where she received standing ovations. During her high school years, CiCi picked up unhealthy habits of eating fast food and smoking cigarettes. This caused CiCi to lose focus on what really made her happy…singing! In 2013, CiCi began what she calls “taking control of her life”. She quit smoking cigarettes via cold turkey and became vegan. After this lifestyle change occurred, CiCi began to write and sing music again. After years of working with the DD population, CiCi became a strong supporter of advocacy. Today, CiCi Bella is taking a stance to promote positive healthy living as well as an emotional connection with her listeners’.
