Producer Javon “Jhunter” Hunter and literary wordsmith Marvin “MrWhitfield” Whitfield have collectively come together to form Like Minded Individuals-a group in response to the need for words and sounds that will redefine and help shape the next generation of artists. Natives of the Washington metropolitan area, Jhunter and MrWhitfield have drawn from individual and collaborative inspirations to the type of sound that will open eyes, move souls and start discussions. Friends for over ten years, their craft reflects more than just two people getting together to make music. It embodies a shared passion for the arts, a determination to be successful in all endeavors and a like minded mentality in work ethic and talent-hence the group’s name. “I feel his (Mrwhitfield) words are the fuel to the engine,” Jhunter comments in regards to his partner. “I just try to create a different musical landscape for him to walk on.” “He has a gift that the world needs to hear”. “With spoken word, it can all come down to what is heard by the listener,” quotes MrWhitfield.” It’s nice to have a partner who can understand and work with these thoughts that are in my head.” I get that from Jhunter.” From these accolades and generally respect for one another, the jaw-dropping cd “Soundtrack to my life” was created. Over ten ever changing tracks, Jhunter and MrWhitfield let the listener into their constellation. From the simple guitar strumming intro track “Soundtrack”, to the motivating pulse of the outro cut “From the Outside looking in”, the cd takes the listener on a journey into the world of two young men who have seen much and still look towards the future.
