Spreading a powerful message of praise, worship and joy through both preaching and singing the Gospel, is Archie Robinson & New Birth Praise (N.B.P.). A new addition to the M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records’ label, Archie & N.B.P., are a Praise & Worship ministry whose songs are about giving glory to God, and surrendering to His authority. With their amazing music and soulful energy, they provide new spiritual presence to the Christian music industry. A pastor, husband, father, & powerful man of God, Archie Robinson is extremely sincere in his music and a true inspiration to many. Originally from Abilene, Texas, Archie has been surrounded by music all of his life. In fact, he was named after one of the original members of the Five Blind Boys. Archie was destined to be an artist. At the tender age of 4, he wrote his first song, called "Jesus Was A Little Boy". He used to sing at the barbershop, usually crooning the theme song to Davy Crockett, while shining shoes. His talents extend to being able to play the harmonica, guitar, and the drums, among other instruments. Archie admits, although he didn’t quite fully master the instruments, he was given just enough skill by God to help him write his songs. Coming from a long line of pastors, Archie grew up in the church. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were pastors, as well as five of his uncles. In 1970, at the age of 18, Archie left Abilene and moved to San Diego, California. For over 20 years, he performed in a band called "Joy". Later, he formed and became the pastor of New Birth Christian Fellowship. The newly formed church didn’t have a choir; so instead, they started a praise and worship team, which received a large amount of praise and recognition for their exceptional sound. In 2005, Archie & N.B.P was approached by M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records with the prospect of joining the label. Archie accepted and has been performing at various concerts, events, and churches throughout San Diego County and has been gaining a wide and diverse number of supporters. The primary goal of Pastor Archie & New Birth Praise, is to create music on the level of moving and to reach out and minister to people through their music.
