简介
A most accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Éilís’ virtuoso talents have made possible a life of adventure and constant surprise in the music industry. She travelled for several years all over the world with the original production of 'Riverdance', following its Eurovision debut at The Point Depot in Dublin in 1994. Riverdance adventures have included performances from Millstreet to Mexico to Montreal, Melbourne to Montrose, culminating in the Show’s hugely successful Broadway run in New York. Before joining the Riverdance Orchestra, Éilís enjoyed a busy career as one of Ireland's most sought-after traditional musicians recording, performing and touring with various artists including accompaniment on guitar and piano Mairead Nesbitt (Celtic Women) , as piano player with The Shaskeen Ceilí Band , with Zoe Conway, Mairín Fahy, Máire Breatnach, The Celtic Tenors, Phil Coulter, Brian Kennedy, The Dubliners, Mary Coughlan, Shaun Davey, Carmel Dempsey, to name but a few. Éilís was a founding member of many prestigious ensembles, including the Frankie Gavin Quartet, Eileen Ivers Band, The Bridies, the Irish Trad group, Reeltime, and featured on that famous album, ‘Ceol Tigh Neachtain’, music from Galway’s most famous venue. This album, "Mám Éan", provides a good introduction to the musical talents of Éilís Egan. Enjoy!
