简介
When Jhing first set out to make an album, she decided to call it "Sushi Money." A fitting name for the debut effort of a sushi loving singer and songwriter who just wanted to sell CDs at her gigs and make some "extra money." At least that's how it started. Jhing proceeded on to sing, write, and produce 17 tracks of what became a product of her labor and love. From its humble roots, Sushi Money has unexpectedly caught on with music lovers around the world in countries like Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, Amsterdam, United States, Australia, England, and many more. Maybe it's the combination of Jhing's sultry voice on infectious grooves and intricate harmonies that caught people's attention, or perhaps it's because Sushi Money features some of the finest musicians in the U.S. with today's technology. The impressive line up of musicians and guest artists include guitarist extraordinaire, Ramon Stagnaro, who's worked with the likes of Celine Dion, Yani, David Foster, and Dianne Reeves; talented Jazz Keyboardist, Tateng Katindig; Jhing's brother JayR, Philippines' R&B Prince; and more. The album was co-written and co-produced by music industry veteran, Bobby Nunn (Rick James, Philip Bailey, The Temptations, De Barge, The Jets, Latoya Williams). The Philippine born and Hollywood-based beauty who was equally influenced by Sade, Sarah Vaughan, and Astrud Gilberto, as she is by Prince, No Doubt, Outkast, and Madonna is truly a genre-hopper whose music style borrows from soul, pop, and jazz. This young chanteuse who is evoking music that's attracting both the young and old alike was definitely born and raised to be a performer. With a family that consisted of singers and musicians, Jhing was already a seasoned professional singer by the age of 16: recording lead and back-up vocals as well as writing for artists whose albums have been released in different parts of the globe; all the while fronting for several top-notch bands in Southern California. Proving to be a savvy businesswoman as well, Jhing is totally involved behind the scenes not only with the album but with The Chitlin Circuit Entertainment Group or CCEG, her independent record company that was founded by her collaborator, Bobby Nunn. CCEG is the force behind Jhing's magazine-style website, JHING.COM. A uniquely designed artist site that caters to web surfers around the world by encouraging music fans to get involved in everything from picking the album cover to helping with the song selections. Already her fans have voted for "Forbidden Castle" to be the first single. Like the rest of Sushi Money, the song is full of metaphors and subliminal messages making it an online favorite. You have to listen closely to fully understand its meaning. The single and album is also available for download in major music sites such as MP3.com, Sony Connect, itunes, Napster, Real Rhapsody, and more. By cutting out the middle man, Jhing is quickly becoming a house hold name around the world. Truly on the rise of becoming an international star and gaining support from fans who are embracing their direct connection to their artist of choice.
