Beginning in 97' as a creative studio project.I Yahn I took their music to the stage at the first Philadelphia Fringe Festival to accompany their [tribal Dub musical] Birds of one Feather. Fueled by the overwhelming positive response I Yahn I continued to spiritually uplift people at festivals and shows with their Sweet Harmonies, Powerful chanting,and Uplifting sound . Singing together since young teens in the Baltomore /DC punk /Reggae seen they have perfected their interlocking vocal styles and conscious lyrics . This is high consciousness music called such things as "Revolutionary" and "Enlightening" I & I calls all souls together in One vibration chanting down oppression with One Heart Sound! Heavy Dub influenced by the Roots Reggae of King Tubby, Ras Michael,Count Ossie and Nyabingi druming n Chanting .Also are deep influences of the music of Sun Ra and the psychedelic sounds of Pink Floyd,Mahavisnu Orchestra,and The Greatfull Dead.with the edge of the Bad Brains and the Clash. I Yahn I have shared the stage with Many of the Reggae Greats from Lee"scratch" Perry to Israel Vibrations ,the Meditations , Gregory Isaacs,Turbulance,The Mad Professor ,King Yellow Man,and many more.The Arkestra also continues to play benefits in support of social ,and environmental causes,speading the message of right knowlegde and overstanding on a local and national scale. Their debut cd LOVE MISSION [ summer 2007 ] Produced by Jah D at his studio [INITY] is already recieving rave reveiws and has some of Philly 's greatest talent . Featuring Horns by Louis Taylor ,Henry Mc Millian,and Harold Watkins .
