Hattie Cooke is back with a new sound and a new record. Written, played, recorded and produced entirely by the self-proclaimed loner, her new self-titled album has been described by Everett True as having '...the sadness of Strawberry Switchblade, the langour of Lush and the gristle of Girls...' and Hattie herself has been compared to such artists as Broadcast, PJ Harvey and The Smiths. The twenty five year old solo-artist from Brighton started out on the folk circuit back in 2008 aged just 17. In the last eight years she has played extensively, supporting a number of cult folk figures, including Jeffrey Lewis and RM Hubbert, and has gathered a global fan base along the way. Her latest reincarnation is a super-immersive, electronic sonic experience (with just a sprinkling of her folk roots for good measure). This will be Hattie Cooke's second album and comes out on October 8th 2016 on Third Kind Records and will coincide with Cassette Store Day.
