It was the theme song for the LA Clippers, St Louis Cardinals and featured on many television networks including Showtime, Oxygen and more. Vol 3 has a unique feel and covers a wide range of genres, instrumentation, tempos and song ideas. Asaf Productions Vol 3 is guaranteed to have something for everyone and is recommended for all age ranges. WE BELONG AT THE TOP There are no words (V2 - There is no sound) To describe what you mean to me You are preferred (V2 - You stay around) Over anything or anybody You make me feel like I'm on top of the world Not even gravity can pull is down We fly across ocean Over mountains in the distance Shed light onto wastelands Once forgotten, now alive Cause we belong at the top, top, top *** I wrote this song for my amazing Mom who is the most important and supportive person in my life. An upbeat, engaging melody with simple yet powerful lyrics which convey dedication, gratitude and the sense of triumph that comes from commitment, cooperation and perseverance. People have commented on the upbeat vibe, hard hitting drums and unique mixture of instrumentation (upright bass, violin, cello, Strings, Accordion). An energetic dance track, with a strong, positive and uplifting message. R&B, Acoustic Dance mix ----------------------------------------------------------- WASH IT AWAY Where'd the rain go? Will it come again? Now the stains show Time to rise from then-- Can I let go? From the thought of this-- When the drains flowed They took the problem with. Wash it away Rain down today The Sky is turnin' dark Cold winds are blowin' through Drops, they hit the ground and Bring a different tune You can hear the sound It must be comin' soon Used to see constellations Now not even the moon Just pour on down Let It Rain, Let it Rain, Let it Rain I can feel it now Let It Rain, Let it Rain, Let it Rain Rain, You've healed my pain. *** This combination of introspective lyrics with multi-layered instrumental mix (uprights bass, strings, piano and synths), weaves a strong lyrical imagery. The rain symbolizes releasing ("washing away") of unproductive thoughts, patterns and people in our lives. Focused and deliberate—moving. R&B/Soul with a twist. ----------------------------------------------------------- JEFFSTER I once heard what you said Now it's all gone, confusion Oh Jeffster, Oh Jeffster Where have you been? I've been calling for hours But, I'll try to get you on the line When I'm runnin' out of time Cause you're like a brother to me And I know that you know this I know that you know this Brotha know this Wake up from your dreamin' Now it's time to go It's that moment seize it Carpe diem flow, you know *** A song I wrote for my best friend Jeff. It portrays the powerful bond of brotherhood, friendship and loyalty. I envisioned soldiers in the battlefield. The instrumentation is diverse and includes a mix of synth, driving drums, orchestral string bridge, pizzicato bass. Compelling lyrics combined with unexpected switch in beat--a slow, airy start which builds into a double hard-hitting tempo in the chorus. A mix of pop, R&B, hip hop and electronic dance. ------------------------------------------------------------ LEELANAU What the hell was I gone do Without reachin' your shores? When I was lost--I slipped away But, you wouldn't let me go astray. I came, I went I seen, I saw But I found my way At Leelanau Everything I do today I owe it all To the time I spent At Leelanau Oh Leelanau Oh Leelanau I had gone off course Was lackin' a direction Gettin' bad grades Stuck in detention Hangin' with them thugs n' Doin' thangs we shouldn't But that's what it was Now I know, then I couldn't Swim... Oh Leelanau It was the best thing that could've ever happened Found you at the end of Lake Michigan You made learning fun so I took action Paid attention and began listenin' *** Leelanau is a private high school located on the beautiful northern shores of Lake Michigan. I went to school there during my teenage years when I was lacking direction. The experience helped me get my act together, get to college and build a successful life. I wrote the song in appreciation to a place and the people who gave me so much. Contemporary and inspiring lyrics combine with unique R&B, country, acoustic mix. ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEL THIS WAY For you and only you All I want is to see you smiling For you to know Ill catch your tears when you're crying All I need is to feel you holding me You would make me so happy I wish you could see clearly Ill be there for you, always care for you There is absolutely nothing that I would not do And everyday I pray you know that I feel this way When I'm with you life is like the chorus Universal, lets cross this bridge before us No more rehearsal Let your mind free and just roll someplace with me Always cared for you There is absolutely nothing that I would not do You know that I feel this way *** My duet collaboration with the singer song-writer Raelle. A sweet and lyrical piece about lovers’ commitment to one another. Contemporary, Innocent and convincing. Style R&B, Pop, Commercial ------------------------------------------------------------ GO HOME LULLABY I I wanna go home, go home, go home To the people that I know, To the places that I saw I wanna go home, I wanna go home II La, La, La, La, Lullaby… The song is composed in two parts: I wrote the first section while visiting Israel where I experienced a strong sense of belonging--Home can mean a geographical place and also friends and family—anywhere where one feels safe a secure. The second half of the mix is a piece I produced and recorded with my mom—the essence of the word HOME--so the song goes ‘full circle’. People have commented on the warm simple instrumentals in the first half of the mix and the rhythmic drum beat at the end. New Age, R&B, electronic ------------------------------------------------------------ WHAT AM I Without you what am I? You consume me From your first word to your last The pulse of your soul The beat of each step Sleepless nights I Spend rethinking each moment The tone of your voice The mix of each intonation In you I see my refection Through my echo I hear your voice Together or apart We are one We are inspiration A reason to keep believing That moment of silence A break of repetition Though we strive for perfection We always continue to progress On this timeless journey To wherever life takes us next *** A recital of my poem What Am I? accompanied by the exotic sound of live acoustic and electric cello. The beat is hard hitting and progresses with the lyrics. A reflective meditative piece would be perfect for an introduction or outro to a feature film New age, Hip Hop, Spoken Word, Orchestral. ------------------------------------------------------------ WITHOUT YOU It's all over Picher leave the mound, Picture me leaving now Tell me whatcha wanna do (What are we gonna do) No playoff, you're tryin to play off The feeling is strong, really I'm gone (Game over) Now look what we come to Life without you dark skies turn blue I'm movin on, I'm movin on Sticks and stones they might break my bones But your words will never hurt me no You live and learn stay and wait your turn knowin that it may never come around so What are we gonna do Try to make it through Without you What are we gonna do Without you I scream on stars Like you have never heard me With just one word we're worlds apart You thought your ill consumed me And now I'm rockin with the treble on I keep it up like magic What are we gonna do It's over Now we're strivin, were done surviving Coming to close of this episode (I'm done with you) It's perfect timing, stop you're whining Aint even gonna think about you no more What are we gonna do Try to make it through Without you What are we gonna do *** A song about ‘parting of ways’ featuring the rapper Young Stone, vocalist Gale Sandoval, Uriel Vega on live saxophone and myself. A rich blend of dynamic piano riff, upbeat drums with engaging melodies. Style Hip Hop, Pop, R&B ------------------------------------------------------------ FLASHING LIGHTS Always one foot out the door I've been hesitating to let it pour down on me Now I see that my mind has been hurting This city's got a hold of me Everybody's imperfections on large billboards What they're gonna say about me Flashing lights they build you up So they can tear you down Flashing lights they pull you in So they can push you out (Walkin down Sunset Blvd feelin like I'm never gonna be good enough for them) Feel fatigued from all these street lights People passing too quick to recognize You've got potential in your eyes And got passion deep inside It pulls you in and you don't want out Always waiting for the right time It pulls you in and you don't want out Always waiting for your time to shine Walkin down Sunset Blvd feelin like I'm never gonna be good enough Walkin down Sunset Blvd feelin maybe I'm good enough I'm good enough *** This is a striking piece about an artist’s insecurities. Wondering if I'm "good enough" and all the pressure that comes along with "making" it. It takes a cynical look at the entertainment industry but ends with a positive message about self-acceptance. The beat has mixed instrumentation with live cello, choir, synth, guitar, drums. I definitely see this in any scenes to do with Hollywood as it mentions sunset blvd, bright lights, street life, aspirations and competition. Style Pop, R&B, Commercial, Electronic ------------------------------------------------------------ KIRA'S KITE Instrumental An airy, lyrical and fast moving instrumental is my mom’s first composition with my ‘technical assistance’. This unique mix-style describes in sound all the twists and turns of the kite my Mom likes to fly on the beach in Newport Beach California. Uplifting and engaging. Style New Age, Electronic --------------------------------------------------------- My Desire Sittin at the bar drinkin my drink (Jack on the rocks) Lookin at the girl there - what to say what to think An I been gazing at her eyes and know just by surprise As I been seeing things never before close to my heart I been tasting every sip of your cup (tastes so good) Lookin round the room trying to drink and get drunk You're my desire, You know you got style And I been wondering where you been and where you're going Cause I've just been thinking to myself You see I been thinking this life I been leading I don't know which way to go cause my heart is still a little unavailable I see that sunrise when I look in your eyes I'm gonna stay in my own shade cause baby I aint gonna rain on your parade Yoy got all your dreams and I'm out there just drinkin Got goals I aint reaching still fighting these demons But you got that something that might just be nothin So baby its time to step to that cliff and jump This life I been leading you see I been thinking This life I been leading I dont know which way to go
