- B. Bio - Never underestimate the talent, power, and drive of one individual! B. is an entrepreneur, singer/songwriter, producer, actor, photographer, journalist, artist and entertainer. In times when true talent or raw talent is often overlooked or remains undiscovered by individuals in power for fear of being outshined by an unknown he (B.) stands on his own. As of now many find themselves spoiled in the entertainment industry by money or birthright, but B. serves as a reminder that all of us come from nothing and can truly accomplish anything we set our minds to so long as we act upon it. In a world where we are taught this very fundamental at a young age and then stripped naked of it by the harsh realities of adulthood, it is nice to know that dreams can become a proven reality. All one has to do to achieve this reality is struggle hard and believe enough in themselves to make it possible. Just meeting with this twenty-something year old often proves there is something more to him, much more. Charming, bright, enigmatic, and often elusive, B. is often observed from an outsider’s perspective. Camera usually on hand, mixtapes (or albums) in bag, music player in tow, and a brilliant observer and discoverer of hidden talent and strengths in others, the kid can even make you famous if you let him. He’s often written about his encounters with people in blogs that document the exploits of his journey as he travels from place to place. Despite the fact that B. is fun to hang out with, the real genius of him is in his songs. His songs are good, too damn good to be coming from just one person. His ability to cross genres and include a variety of sounds and substance material coupled with his lyrical prowess and professionalism is an extremely rare find in music today. The simple fact that such talent even emanates from him along with his long-list of other abilities and talents gives many a reason to be intimidated. The fact that he runs Recipe Records as C.E.O. and owner only adds to this intimidation. However, B.'s demeanor which is usually laid-back but assertive, overtly shy, or humorously friendly is both surprising and delightful. His charm and truthfulness is quite capable of diminishing anyone on their highest of guards and defense. B. has a kind of indescribable gravity to him, he tends to attract attention whether he wants to or not. His physical appearance, which is pretty easy on the eyes, is an added plus. I am quite sure he has ensnared many a lustful eye or broken a few hearts of girls that have come into close contact with him. B. keeps mum on such discussion (true gentlemen tell no tales) and casually switches the conversation back to his profession. “It probably takes whole teams now to do what I’ve accomplished, yet I like to think I’m just one extremely lucky normal guy. Part of me is curious what I’d sound like if I only had to focus on making music.” B. is anything but normal. His own friends, fellow artists, and colleagues will vouch they have never met an individual like him or someone that is even remotely close to being similar to him. He's pretty hard to compare musically as well. Yet B. still remains rather humble and adventurous as he travels around and covers hip-hop when and where he can. “I go to spots, I do things…” says B. “people talk about it afterwards. Positive things usually happen within my presence, I gravitate good vibes...I just want to be the right entertainment to help someone out there get through their day and look forward to tomorrow again...I got into this to make the best music I could make.” B.’s aura and personality makes one feel an instant empathetic connection to him as he is not just an artist to watch, but an interesting individual to meet and follow. He is an individual that projects good energy. For a few short minutes with him often make for illuminating, stimulating, and refreshing conversations that can conjure some pretty memorable moments. His debut album “Struggling” (which contains material both old and new) is out now under his label, Recipe Records Inc. This album is the answer to what hip-hop and perhaps all of music is missing as people today have all but forgot just what true artistry is. Self-funded, self-written, and for the most part self-produced, “Struggling” is definitely worth the buy (whether you get the collectible “Limited Edition” digipak or the regular mp3 or online download). The album grows on the listener much in the same way the classic hip-hop and rock albums of old have. One hears something different every time and each song only shows the range and variety that can be attained if the industry would just let an artist be an artist and make songs and music. The lyrics and messages within each song match near perfectly and the sound beds buried underneath excite the ear each time the album is heard. “Struggling” is an interesting album because something new is usually discovered or heard in a song the more one listens. It's one of those albums that listeners rarely find themselves skipping through tracks. Hungrier still, B. even has completed a mixtape to coincide with the album’s release. “The Great Resume Mixtape” is a hip-hop “heads” classic. Historically it will likely be a collector’s album, topic of much public discussion, or a frame of reference in the annals of music and hip-hop in the future. These 2 collections only provide more worth and merit to B. as an artist. What’s next for B.? “Watch and learn man, watch and learn…” Trust us B., with you as an attraction, we’ll be watching, but can you handle the pressure as everyone else watches as well? - Sue D. Nimm
