After moving to St. Louis in late 2004, comedian Jeremy Essig would write the material on Transient in a matter of weeks. The material deals with a young comedian getting his first taste of touring, first reflections on a misspent early-20's and his experiences working on the outer-edges of politics in the tumultuous 2004 Presidential campaign.

The album, originally released in physical form in 2005 on Giant Scorpion Records has been out of print for almost eight years and is being released digitally for the first time on Listless Industries as a teaser for Essig's upcoming third album "Compulsion," to be released by Listless Industries in mid-2015
