简介
GIULIO CORDA starts singing and playing guitar at Highschool. His very first band, 'SETTIMO SIGILLO' , become quite notorious in the local scene thanks to a number of performances and contests. After few years they record a demotape in London with Mick Mulligan at 'Sam Therapy Studio'. In 1996 Giulio, with his second band named GIULIODORME, signs his first record contract as singer and composer with the major label BMG/Ricordi. Various singles and videoclips get published, the band take part to DANIELE SILVESTRI national tour as support band and finally perform at FESTIVAL DI SANREMO (the most popular italian music contest). The release of GIULIODORME first album 'VENERE' followed in 1998 as well as the italian promotional tour and their appearences in many TV shows. In 2000 the band decide to split up with BMG and sign with the independent label 'PANAMA RECORDS' (SONY distribution). GIULIODORME are ready for the second album but at the very beginning of the recording sessions, unfortunately, Giulio has to stop the recordings for a sudden manifestation of a physical vocal problem. He leaves the band and goes through a delicate surgery at his vocal cords, a long reabilitation period and two years of singing studies in a Musical Academy. In 2003 Giulio puts together a new band called 'DRAGOON' and starts to write music again. A large number of live shows helps him to slowly find the right strenght and mostly the needed confidence in his voice. In the same year he establishes the independent record label and publishing company BENKA. In 2005 Giulio produces Viola (moniker of the well known italian actress Violante Placido) debut album "Don't be shy..." and performes with her band in the italian tour as guitar player. Finally between 2007 and 2008 Giulio completes and releases his first solo album ' sei + 1 ' (BENKA Records).
