This is a fabulous album that I think really showcases the earlier talent of Sven Vath. Indeed, I almost wish his new music was more like this particular album. In the album, three aspects of Vath are showcased. The harlequin represents his jovial, amusing side, the robot is his logical and mechanical side, and the ballet dancer represents his artistic and emotive side. If you listen to this CD, listen to the whole thing straight through for the full effect. For those who expect pure techno, trance, etc. you are buying the wrong CD. This is an experimental work of art that doesn't fall into any clear genre, but has a lot of trance and minimalist elements designed for primarily a listening setting (as opposed to dancing, etc.).
