简介
With “Six Red Light Morning”, Kentucky alternative country band Manitoba Rock n Rolla have evolved their sound, yet maintained the same important elements that have lead to a successful showing in digital distribution outlets with prior releases. The latest EP contains six brand new songs rich in influences from country legend Dwight Yoakam, to 90’s Alternative rock mainstays such as the Gin Blossoms. Enlisting familiar faces to craft this project, Manitoba Rock n Rolla brings back Christopher Allen Withrow (Last Light Studios) to produce as well as participate in instrumentation and create harmonies along with Savanna Carroll and Jordan Catron. Other returnees to Six Red Light Morning include Rus Powell (Bent Penny Band) on bass, Caleb Riddell (Words in Red) on drums, and song-writers/founders Tony Carroll (vocals) and Jeremiah Floyd (vocals, lead guitar). Also making an appearance on the song “Empty House” will be Kevin Shearer (Ash Wednesday, Kevin Sheare and The Dirty Windows) in a supporting vocal role. Manitoba Rock n Rolla refuses to be shy lyrically with “Six Red Light Morning”. Each track is autobiographical, telling stories of nearly losing a love (The Dancer), wisecracking grandfather (Somebody, Jesus and Me), and even writer’s block in the 5th track “Spinning Wheels”. Rounding out the tracks are 50’s rock throwback “Impasse”, 90’s rock inspired “Empty House”, and the old school country ballad “Wall”.
