Boards of Canada are an obvious comparison as am-boy shares the same fascination with childhood and noodling over slow beats. The samples of children laughing and talking are plentiful and the melodies are pretty simple. Song after song come and go with only the CD player''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s track counter noting changes, but things pick up a bit when am-boy resists being so darn precious. "The Day We Looked at the Sky" swoops around the room before dissolving into the Satie-meets-Tangerine Dream "At Night." "64 Colors" is a nice miniature sounding like Perrey-Kingsley getting stepped on by Aphex Twin. There are hints that am-boy has a keen sense of sound structure, but Floridian as a whole is unmemorable.
