Blu Black Rap Artist/Music Producer Born: 18 March 1986 Birthplace: Cleveland, Mississippi Best known as: Producer and Rapper of "OUT Da BOX" with Down Bad Ent Name at birth: Brandon Schultz Blu Black moved to the Baton Rouge area from Mississippi in the early 1990's. Frustrated in early 2000's by the lack of production connections, Blu Black began to produce his own music. By 2005 Blu Black was known as the go to producer in the Gardere Lane area. In 2007 Blu Black made his rap debut with Down Bad Entertainment as a feature artist on the hit single "Out Da Box" . Blu Black not only rapped the last verse on "Out Da Box" but he also produced the hit single. According to DJ Bootsie of Baton Rouge top radio station Max 94.1, "Out the Box" received heavy request and rotation at Max 94.1 Blu Black signed to Millionaire Minds Entertainment in August of 2008.
