简介
Jim Ragland has been a successful theater composer and sound designer since the 80s. His 100+ credits include everything from "The Kentucky Cycle" on Broadway with Stacy Keach to experimental projects, and major productions of plays by Shakespeare, Chekhov, August Wilson, and Sam Shepard. He recently received the prestigious Greg Falls Award for Sustained Achievement from Theater Puget Sound. Several songs from his first CD, "When I Grow Up" have been tapped for the upcoming feature film "Indians and Cowboys", directed by Jonathan Frakes Jim called on some of the great musicians who have played on his theater scores to join him on this record, and produced it with his characteristic attention to detail and full rich blend of sounds. This is not minimalist or alt-something, it's the real thing. In addition to teaching guitar at Seattle University for ten years, he has produced several other terrific songwriters, including Patti-Anne Mathison (http://cdbaby.com/cd/pattianne) and Ionesco (www.ionescoband.com. Jim now lives in Nashville. Contact Jim at slimchanse@gmail.com
