February 2016 sees yet another new artist join the Of Life camp at liaoliao.tw. Keeping it deep and dark but picking up the pace a little with some dance floor ready heat, 4 body rocking tracks from Turkish artist Mario Robles. Starting the EP with title track Gonna Be There. Punchy bass and distant strings introduce deep echoing vocal stabs, in comes the ride and tough pumping electric bass, building and warping into a crescendo. Dropping back down into the main bounce, driven by the addition of some oldskool house keys. Second track Stop The Feeling starts with a dirty filtered disco loop and piano stabs. In steps the bubbling bass and tight crisp beats, before classic vocal samples are added and the track evolves into a pumping dance floor gem. Dropping the tempo with track three and the futuristic space jungle boogie in a track titled Disconnect Me. Organ chords set the back drop for some freaky computer talk over a distant bongo and shaker. Slapping you with what would at first seem like some eighties funk boogie vibes in the last track Show Me Low. As the track builds we find the addition of those classic house keys and bass and then warped out synth. More classic nostalgic vocal samples floating in and out as the creation grows with a chest pounding sleazy rock.
