I am a jazz vocalist and composer. I have toured Europe, the U.K., and Jamaica. And I am the recipient of two arts grants and one humanitarian grant "Earth Charter and the Arts." I have three vocal jazz CDs, one documentary where jazz improvisers helped the homeless in a special performance, and my newest project, "My Little Heart, Ruthie." My background is classical. My love is Jazz. I started as a dancer and actress, and I spent a year with the Los Angeles Shakespeare Festival performing in Children's Theater and Shakespeare in the Park. Everything I do and love revolves around Jazz and Dance. "My Little Heart, Ruthie" is the result of that. I believe Music is for the benefit of society to try to help and heal, so my newest project is the story of a heart in isolation that must learn to free itself. It is a little story of healing told as a children's rhyme and spoken to the child inside us all who feel to blame for any and all harm ever done to us. The music is jazz-inspired in 11 movements and comes with a narration by yours truly.
