Mustafa Ali is a wandering Sufi who performs on instruments from all over the world, reads ecstatic poetry from the great Sufi master Hafiz, and tells stories from the Nasrudin tradition of humorous wisdom tales. His music draws from folk elements of East and West, and is well-suited to belly-dancing, meditation, or just relaxing. He is joined on this recording by Yuri Chalkin on percussion and Bruce Bowers on violin. The tracks on"Mustafa Ali Plays" are best listened to through headphones.
