简介
In their never-ending pursuit of undiscovered Americana, The Tumbling Weeds Record Company has recently contracted the services of the well-known musicologist Prof. Swen T. Oolong. As luck would have it, Prof. Oolong has just located one of his long sought after musical legends…The Landale Boys. The professor has been hearing of this band of singing musicians for many years but has never been able to track them down until now. The Tumbling Weeds Record Company is very proud to release their music for the first time. The professor is unable to disclose the hometown of these singers, as the Landale Boys have specified that such information is “nobody’s dang business”. The professor has also been unable to get a complete list of The Landale Boys; his inquiries always get the reply “me, my brothers, some cousins and the like”. Although the professor is new to such back country regions, he has already found that families here can be quite large and cousins can actually reach numbers that can’t be counted, even by family members. The Tumbling Weeds Record Company regrets that we do not have a personnel listing at this time, but we promise to update information on band members as we receive it. The Landale Boys apparently do not make a living at music as it would involve traveling, which would disturb their business activities. Several of The Landale Boys from the Appalachian branch have told the professor they make a living “running shine”, which the professor surmises is some type of transportation business. Other Landale Boys, such as those in the canyons of Southern California appear to be making a living in agriculture, but are not specific as to their crops. When asked, the reply is always “a little of this, a little of that”. So although Tumbling Weeds and Prof. Oolong cannot provide many details of the band at this time, they will update the Facebook page they have created for the band as these details become available. For this record cover, one of the Landale Boys did agree to be photographed, which is a rarity for the family. And although he has been billed as "Michael Lee"...the featured vocalist on this record, he was not willing to disclose exactly who the other Landale Boys were. And when pressed for further details on The Boys, Mr. Lee said, "well, we're pretty much just a bunch of old tom cats, roamin' along the back alleys and dirt roads of the Country...scratchin' at our guitars and hollerin' out a good ol' song!" So for now…. please enjoy this 2nd recorded song of the Landale Boys!
