When I hear the IZ (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole) rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World (or play it), I find peace. Even just for the remainder of minutes, I'm reminded of possibility... and if it only exists draped in hymn and poetic jowl, there I will live for eternity. Deferring the elaborate game of urban subscript, only to enlighten how unbelievably connected we are. A reality far more evidential in the visions of our presence, recognizing fragments of true experience. Our troubles impermanent... impossible starlets for only you to see. This reinvented mashup combines my dual lifestyle as a singer/guitar-songwriter and experimental electronic music producer. It offers a little love for those hoping for rain, a little light for those hoping for darkness, and a little life for those broken in sorrow. An alternative to escape reality, and in the same monument, brought further into it.
