Hello, folks. Some of you know me as that guy from Montana, who has spent then last 3 plus decades infecting the Seattle music scene with my various versions of musical whimsy, fronting umpteen different bands. Or as a solo artist. Others may know me as a guitarist in The Squirrels and Roy Loney & The Longshots. And finally some of you are being introduced to me as the brother of John Kline of The Music Therapy Experiment. There exists an organic connection among siblings, that transcends any amount of time and distance. Throughout my adult life, I have spent a woefully inadequate amount of time with my brother, due to the considerable geographical distance between Seattle and Mobile, as well as other work and life considerations. When he suggested this project, and invited me to make a record, it seemed like a daunting task at first. My songwriting chops felt a bit rusty, but I decided to give it a try. Pretty soon, it started to flow, and I was able to put it out from the reality of my current life. The gin soaked angst of my younger days is long gone, but the whimsy remains intact. And as we got down to recording, that sibling thing kicked in. We connected and locked in. Perhaps in a way that only brothers can. It defies explanation. It just is. And I like it. I like my brother. He has mad talent and skills. I like me. And my music. I hope you will enjoy it too. Joey Kline February 2015 p.s..
