Kenneth Wayne Spruell) was born in Spokane, Washington USA, raised in San Francisco and now lives in Vancouver, Canada. He cites Fats Domino, Roosevelt Sykes, Professor Longhair and Pete Johnson as influences. Aside from being a featured headliner, he has backed artists ranging from Charles Mingus, Jimmy Reed, Sonny Rhodes, Joe Louis Walker & Jeff Healey. Kenny's brilliance has been recognized through numerous Maple Blues and Real Blues Magazine Awards as well as by nominations for Juno, SOCAN, and Pacific Music Industry Awards. In 2006 Kenny Wayne won the Canadian Juno for Best Blues Album. On "Alive & Loose" Kenny is backed by some of Canada's best musicians, including Chris Nordquist (Colin James), Andreas Schuld (Long John Baldry), Brian Newcombe (Ray Charles) and David "Hurricane" Hoerl (The Twisters).
