Eytan Mirsky is a New York City-based singer songwriter best known for the title songs he contributed to the award-winning independent films American Splendor, The Tao of Steve and Happiness. Also known for “(I Just Wanna Be) Your Steve McQueen” (from The Tao of Steve) and for writing the numbers sung by the fictional group the Sunshine Singers in Todd Solondz’s film Palindromes, Eytan has put out six albums of his own acerbic tunes: Songs about Girls (& Other Painful Subject), Get Ready for Eytan!, Was It Something I Said?, Everyone’s Having Fun Tonight!, Year of the Mouse and Funny Money. Funny Money is produced by Jon Gordon, best known for his work with Suzanne Vega. It also features appearances by saxophonist Arno Hecht (Rolling Stones, J. Geils Band), drummer Dennis McDermott (Donald Fagen), accordionist Robbie Kondor (Carole King) and pianist Jon Cobert.
