"She's actually a careful, methodical artist with a folksinger lilt, and a cache of scrappy rock riffs that bring out — or jar with — the sweet tincture of her voice. It's a fascinating juxtaposition." - East Bay Express Separate Grooves takes up where 2012 release Hard Learned Truths left off. Caitlin Glennon's second full-length album embodies her love of short, poppy rock and roll songs and sad, thoughtful pop ballads. Inspired by a Korg SV-1 purchase, Glennon is a classically trained pianist and found inspiration with the vintage keys sounds she incorporated into opener Miss Invisible, moody title track Separate Grooves, and her take on the afforable housing crisis, Tenement Cove. Separate Grooves also rocks with conviction, featuring lead guitarist Alex Kenivel on several songs, including slow-burner 90s jam, Antelope, Young, Sassy & Drunk, an homage to self-funded artists (Wanting In), and poppy satire on the airline industry, TSA Patdown. *download the digital booklet at: caitlinglennon.com
