简介
"Historia del Tango" is Berta Roja’s latest album in collaboration with the iconic Argentinian orchestra Camerata Bariloche. It is a gem recorded in Estudio ION in Buenos Aires, where Astor Piazzola himself recorded 5 albums. The album covers some of the most iconic tango pieces specially arranged by Carlos Franzetti, Grammy and Latin Grammy winner. In the heart of the album is "Historia del tango" (History of Tango), originally written for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzolla and arranged for guitar and orchestra by Franzetti at the request of Berta. In this version, the piece acquires a new sonority. The movements of La historia del tango are Bordello 1900, Café 1930, Nightclub 1960 and Concert d’Aujourd’hui. Different periods and tango styles sound throughout the album, such as Astor Piazzola’s Oblivion; El día que me quieras, by Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera; Nocturna, by Julián Plaza; Taquito Militar, by Mariano Mores; Sur, by Anibal Troilo; Palomita Blanca, by Anselmo Aieta; Por una Cabeza, by Carlos Gardel and Naranjo en Flor, by Virgilio Expósito. “Popi” Spatocco, one of Argentina’s most respected musicians was in charge of the musical production and the orchestra. Spatocco was producer and musical director of the renowned Mercedes Sosa and producer of “Cantora”, awarded a Grammy and a Latin Grammy. Camerata Bariloche has been honored with the Premio Konex de Platino (Platinum Konex Award) to the best chamber ensemble in the history of music in Argentina. With humongous prestige both inside and outside the country, has worked with figures such as Ástor Piazzolla, Yehudi Menuhin, Jean Pierre Rampal, Frederika von Stade, Mstislav Rostropovich and Martha Argerich. Berta Rojas is one of the most relevant guitarists now a day. She has two Latin Grammy nominations for her albums “Día y medio” with Paquito D’Rivera, and “Salsa Roja.” The Washington Post described her as an “guitarist extraordinaire” and Classical Guitar Magazine in the United Kingdon as “ambassador of the classical guitar.” Néstor Marconi is guest starring as “bandoneon” player.
