简介
Her rich voice is filled with a fusion of R&B, rock, pop, soul, and Southern gospel, and flows with the history of more than five generations of musicianship. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, music has always been a part of her life. A musical child prodigy, Zetti was playing drums in church by age seven and began writing songs not too long after that. Guitar and piano were also added to her list of talents.Zetti’s early life was filled with family and friends, including her grandfather, Curley Herndon, who for many years was country legend Slim Whitman’s guitar player, both on the road and in the studio. Curley was also a regular featured performer on the famed Louisiana Hayride radio program as part of the duo, Hoot and Curley. Hoot and Curley, along with Whitman, were signed to Imperial Records and released a number of songs. Family gatherings were filled with music and Zetti began singing at those gatherings, and in church bands and Christmas plays. When Zetti’s family moved to West Monroe, Louisiana when she was thirteen, and then eight months later to Knoxville, Tennessee, it was a tough time for the young singer/songwriter. Adrift from her close-knit relationships back home, she turned to music for solace. Mahalia Jackson and Muddy Waters, blues and funk, alternative and soul, played on her radio after school and in her heart. Back in Shreveport by the middle of her junior year of high school, Zetti found that her old friends had moved on, changed and grown, as teenagers tend to do. She again turned to music and sang in several youth bands and choirs. There, she gained confidence in her talent and won state and regional competitions for ensemble performance.Growing up, Zetti thought she’d end up as a visual artist, for she is also a talented painter and illustrator, but instead of a local art school, she chose Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas after friends told her about the school’s dynamic music department. It was an environment she thrived in, even in the middle of her parent’s divorce. Zetti graduated with degrees in theology and music, and as an ordained minister, but like a lot of college grads, found it hard to get a job in her field. She instead became a flight attendant, a job that allowed her the opportunity to meet many unique personalities and visit a wide variety of places.“I incorporated a lot of those people and places into my writing,” said Zetti, “and that’s when that part of me began to gel, during my downtime as a flight attendant.” Zetti realized that while her music and songwriting were emerging, she wasn’t yet ready to pursue it full time. She stayed in Texas and next took a job in sales and marketing, and followed that with jobs at several churches. But, it wasn’t until she began singing on other artist’s recording projects and touring with them on the road that she finally knew she had come into her own. In October 2010 Zetti moved to Nashville under an Artist Development deal that was short lived. In April of 2011 she returned back to Dallas Texas. While in Dallas she has been networking, crafting her skills, gigging heavily and building her fanbase. In January of 2012 she returned to Nashville to record her EP debut "Easy Does it" . If you love heartfelt lyrics, soulful sounds and R&B stylings you will enjoy this inspirtational EP.
