Raag Bihag Raag Bihaag is assigned to the Kalyan thaat, with a Gandhar vadi and a Nikhad samvadi. It is typically sung in the 2nd half of the night and is a popular raag with both beginners and masters. The mood is celebratory and romantic and usually sung at marriages and festive occasions. About Pakistani Classical Music A raag is the central feature of Pakistani sub-continental classical music tradition. Most raags are specific to a season, a time of day, or an occasion. Each has its own character and mood, and aims to transport the listener into that mood. The same raag can be improvised to create countless different tunes. A raag is a framework of different notes and micronotes which are defined for each raag, and are then used for improvisation. Each raag defines the notes and micronotes to be used when moving up and down the scale, their sequencing and the way to transition between notes.
