简介
Fuse punk and dance pop influences with a hefty dose of hell house gloom and you have Death Valley High - the mixtape to a doomsday dance party. What started as a collaboration between singer/guitarist Reyka Osburn (Tinfed, Ghostride) and producer Eric Stenman (Senses Fail, MSTRKRFT) quickly gained notoriety in the Bay Area's underground music scene. DVH's 2007 full-length release "The Similarities Of The Loveless And The Undead" – featuring Will Haven's Mitch Wheeler and Jeff Irwin – immediately garnered critical acclaim with its addictive mix of aggro and pop sensibilities. The band's current incarnation - still featuring Reyka Osburn's vision, vocals, guitar and programming – is fleshed out with Adam Bannister on drums, Chris Sanders on guitar and Samuel Diosdado on bass for what Osburn calls DVH's "strongest and most dedicated lineup to date; soldier-style." Fueled by airplay from as far away as the UK's BBC-Radio One and the recent release of a video for the single "Lovers," DVH is currently recording a new full-length album, slated for release in the Fall of 2008. Again utilizing the production skills of Eric Stenman, along with the mixing talents of Alex Newport (At The Drive-In, Jubilee), the new album promises to deliver an even more focused version of Death Valley High's trademark aggro dance pop. DVH is currently playing selected shows with expanded dates in the U.S. and U.K to follow the album release. - Jenny Slafkosky
